Extracting numbers from a plan is a very common task during projects. Numbers however can be a bit abstract so sometimes it helps to have a bit of visual aid. You can color hatches by their size or hatch entities based on predefined categories. The results are similar, it all depends on how accurate you want to the drawing to be.
